About the Recipe

This simple meal is a life and time saver! If you will allow it to, it can be a powerful source of nutrition! It really doesn't need much instruction, but it is here to remind you that home cooked meals don't have to be complicated to be good and healthy! Whether you use taco shells or tortilla chips, you can easily make this meal gluten free.

Ingredients

  • 1lb ground beef (or turkey, deer, or any preferred taco meat!)

  • lettuce (I prefer a spring mix lettuce variety 16oz container, the more the merrier!)

  • 1/2 onion, diced

  • 1tbsp taco seasoning (or packet)

  • 1tsp salt

  • 2-3 tomatoes, diced

  • 1 can black beans, drained

  • 1 can corn, drained

  • 1 jar salsa

  • 12 hard taco shells, or tortilla chips (gluten free)


NOTE: The more "whole foods" the better!

Feel free to add and swap ingredients to make it healthful in your own way!

Preparation

Step 1

In a medium skillet brown meat and add seasonings.



Step 2

Chop, dice, and prepare all other toppings.



Step 3

Build your taco or salad! and enjoy!
