About the Recipe
Made from scratch brownies are some of the simplest and healthiest you will make! We always double the recipe because we cant ever get enough!

Ingredients
1 c dates, pitted
1/2 c coconut oil ( or any seed/nut butter)
1/3 c unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking powder
3 tbsp honey
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 c walnuts (optional)*
*NOTES
Walnuts- optional, however, if tolerated, I would recommend for additional flavor, and nutrition enhancement!
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Boil 1 or 2 cups of water to cover and soak dates for 10-15 mins.
Drain dates.
Step 2
In a food processor, blend all dry ingredients, until walnuts are fine. Next add all other ingredients until smooth. If the batter is too thick, add 1 tbsp of water at a time until desired texture.
Step 3
Pour into a greased (I use coconut oil) 8x8 baking dish and bake for 15 mins.
Step 4
Let cool for 5-10 mins.
